We suggest you one of the beautiful the trek that is in Ghizer. Ghizer is in West of Gilgit to the Shandur Pass leading to Chitral. The mountains here are not very high and the passes are greener and gentler then in the Karakorum around Skardu and Hunza. Only few tourists use this route.
Within this program we will pass from Ishkoman Valley to Yasin through Asumbar (4510m altitude). The Ishkoman Valley divides the Karakorum Range from the Hindu Kush. Incorporated into Pakistan in 1972, Ishkoman was vassal principality of Chitral in recent centuries. The population is mostly Ismaili Muslim. Most people speak Shina (the language of Gilgit), Khowar (the language of Chitral) and Wakhan (the language of Waghan).
Yasin Valley until 20th century was an important kingdom controlling the shortest and easiest route between the Oxus (Amu Darya River) and Indus valleys. The people of Yasin speak Burushaski, an aboriginal language (Yasin is also known as Wurshigoom, meaning the land of Burushi), ruling class also speak Khowar. Shina and Urdu are also spoken.
In its first 60 km, the Valley is wide, flat and well watered, making it comparatively fertile, with irrigated fields on either side the river.
