Once the remotest valley in Pakistan, Shimshal still retains some of its aura of mystery. The welcome Ismaili people, the many treks available near and inside the Kumjerab National Park, makes this valley a prime attraction for trekkers. During our program we will look at the local culture as it has been preserved and trekkers can visit the summer pastures, see the herders at work, snow peaks and huge glaciers of Karakorum.
